Spread the Warmth This Season with the Netflix Original Short Film, "Angela’s Christmas"! (DVD Giveaway)

Based on the beloved children’s book by Frank McCourt, Angela’s Christmas tells the story of six-year-old Angela, who -- while attending mass on Christmas Eve -- notices the statue of Baby Jesus lying in the manger. Worried that the underdressed statue will be cold in the cavernous church, Angela decides to “rescue” the statue and bring him home to warm him up. Angela’s Christmas is a funny, poignant and heart-warming story about the power of family and the innocent desire of a child to ensure everyone is safe, warm and loved at Christmas time.

My review:
Angela’s Christmas is beautifully animated and shares a very sweet story of a little girl’s love for Baby Jesus. Even though Angela was quite naughty for taking the statue from the church, her intentions came from a place of love and caring. At just a half-hour, this is a wonderful program for watching together as a family and to use as a jumping point for discussing the real meaning of Christmas and the love that is integral to the season. Viewing Angela’s Christmas yearly would make a lovely new tradition for everyone! Watch it on Netflix this year and then pick up a DVD to add to your Christmas collection.

I would say that the time this year was memorable. My sister surprised us all and came for the day, which we had not any idea she would be. It was great to see her and have her company with me.
