2nd Annual Turkey Day Hop: Giveaway for a World Vision Prize Pack Worth Over $500!

This year, I have a lot to be thankful for, and I’m sure you do, too! To show our thanks to our readers, Anderson's Angels, This Mama's Life, The More the Merrier and Woven by Words are very excited to bring you the 2nd Annual Turkey Day Giveaway Event! We've teamed up with some wonderful bloggers to bring you another great giveaway event! Each blog has gathered a prize package worth $15 or more, so be sure to visit each blog and enter!

My sponsor for the 2nd Annual Turkey Day Giveaway Event this year is World Vision! I strongly encourage you to do your holiday shopping through World Vision’s Gift Catalog because their gifts have a multiplier effect—positively impacting the giver, receiver and those in need. Since 1996, the World Vision Gift Catalog has given people the opportunity to better the lives of children, adults and communities in the U.S. and around the world through hundreds of gifts in all different areas of need: clean water, food, education, sexual exploitation, job training and others. In fiscal year 2016, more than 112,000 people donated more than 274,000 items from the Gift Catalog helping people around the world. Eliminate shopping guilt, and join World Vision's efforts to tackle poverty and injustice around the world, helping children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential.

When a donation is made to World Vision's “Where Most Needed” fund, donors can choose from different items (like those featured below) to receive as a meaningful memento of their gift.

The Heaton Hope Bracelet ($100) – This year, everyone’s favorite TV mom, Patricia Heaton, has partnered with World Vision to design the Patricia Heaton Hope Bracelet. The name was purposely chosen to encourage people to feel hopeful about our world and to give hope, through generosity, to those in need.

Vietnamese Tote ($100) – Disabled Vietnamese women gain independence by creating these beautiful hand-embroidered purses.

African Soapstone Box ($85) – Talented artisans bring raw stone to life with etched designs and hand dyed finishes that showcase modern African creativity and provide a sustainable way out of poverty.

Charm Necklace ($100) – Made by a gold and silver plating specialist in India, the unique and elegant charms make this necklace a subtle statement piece.

Infinity Scarf ($75) – This fashion-forward accessory is made by artisans in India who are trained in the loom industry to attain skills and a sustainable livelihood.

Wraparound Ring ($55) – A vibrant, adjustable ring with aqua and blue chalcedony stones set in metal, made by female artisans in India.

Prices in the Gift Catalog are subject to change

I received samples of these gifts, and they are all so pretty! Whenever I wear the scarf or jewelry, people always ask where I got them and comment on how lovely they are. And I LOVE the Vietnamese Tote. It is super-soft and well-made, with reinforced handles, and even a zipper at top to keep my belongings dry and clean. The African soapstone box is adorable, with a beautiful giraffe on the lid. It’s just the right size for holding small earrings or mementos. Any of these items would make an impressive gift, especially with the knowledge that they also help someone in need. Please visit World Vision’s Gift Catalog to start your holiday shopping! Visit World Vision on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, too.

Right now my son is to young and donating money is just out of my hands right now literally and figuratively. I will share this with as many as I can thank you for helping to support them !!
