Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land ~ A Fun Gift for Video Game Enthusiasts!

If your kids are fans of the TV series, Regular Show, they’ll be excited to know that Mordecai and Rigby star in a new video game for Nintendo 3DS: Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land!

About the game:
When Mordecai and Rigby get transported into some mysterious video games, they’ll have to use their best skills and unique abilities to traverse the various challenges to escape and get back home in this brand-new “eggscellent” journey. This hi-jinx-filled adventure is packed with action platforming, side-scroller space shooting, old-school top-down video game mania, and comes fully loaded with fan-favorite characters and humor from the show. The original storyline and concept was written by series creator, JG Quintel.

My boys have been having a lot of fun with this game. They compared it to a Mario Brothers type of game (which they love). You get to be Mordecai or Rigby, depending on where you’re at in the game. My son, Caleb, especially loves to be Mordecai because he has what he called “kung-fu powers”! (I think they call it “Death Kwon Do” in the game.) They’re almost 10, and they said the game is not too hard and not too easy -- just right for their age and abilities. They love to collect cash (for extra lives), fanny packs, VHS tapes, money bags, and player heads. Power-ups include a Mullet, a Space Power Capsule, and more.

Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land is a 3DS game, so you’ll need a Nintendo 3DS console to play it, or the new Nintendo 2DS console to play it in non-3D mode. (My kids prefer NOT to use 3D, but it’s a matter of personal preference.) If your kids (age 10 and up) love Regular Show or even just awesome video games, pick up a copy of Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land for them for the holidays. It’s sure to be a hit!
