The Wisdom of Encouraging Teens to Play

Recently, I had the pleasure of being the commentator in a 10-minute show on BAM! Radio with Stuart Brown, M.D., a medical doctor, psychiatrist, clinical researcher, and founder of the National Institute for Play. I’ve steered two boys through the teen years so far, and I know that many of us feel the need to encourage our teens to buckle down and get serious about life. But Dr. Brown says that encouraging teens to play is one of the best things we can do to develop them academically and personally.
