Make a Valentine’s Day Bookmark with Your Kids!

Here’s another great Valentine’s craft for kids from Elmer’s. A Valentine’s Day Bookmark lets kids create a keepsake a loved one can use to mark the pages of their favorite book or magazine. This craft recycles sticks from frozen treats as well as other reusable items from around the house such as scrap construction paper.

Skill Level: Moderate

Age(s): 6 to 12

Time Needed: 30 minutes

Supplies Needed:

• Elmer’s Extra Strength All Purpose Glue Stick
• Elmer’s 3D Washable Paint Pens
• Construction Paper
• Elmer’s Foam Stickers
• Elmer’s Craft Stick (or recycle a stick from a frozen treat if you can!)
• Scissors
• Pencil

1. Fold a 3" by 6" piece of construction paper in half to form a square.

2. Draw a heart on the square with a pencil. Cut it out. You will be cutting out two hearts at one time.

3. Decorate the hearts using Elmer’s 3D Washable Paint Pens and foam stickers. Let the paint dry completely.

4. Place the tip of a craft stick between the two hearts. Glue it into place.

5. Use the bookmark to mark the spot in your favorite book!
