Book Review: The Complete Walt Disney World 2010

This is the time of year when many people’s thoughts turn to the possibility of a tropical vacation in a warm climate! For many families with kids, that destination will be Walt Disney World in Florida. They have activities for every member of the family there, regardless of age, gender or interests. But, let’s face it, Disney World can be overwhelming. It’s huge! They’ve got Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, water parks, and much more. So, how do you figure out which parks, resorts and attractions are best for your family?

Fortunately, a terrific resource has just been published called The Complete Walt Disney World 2010: The Definitive Disney Handbook, by Julie and Mike Neal. This award-winning book reviews nearly 700 attractions, restaurants, shops, hotels and more. Five hundred full-color photographs really show you Disney’s attractions up close. This book has everything! Along with descriptions of all of the attractions, there’s information on getting tickets and the Disney dining plan, tips for saving time and money, and information on all of the resorts and special events. It tells you when to catch parades or fireworks, how to get close to Disney characters, where to shop and eat, how to get special promotions … I could go on and on. They even rate each ride and tell you how long the average wait is. Each section is also color coded so it’s easy to locate what you need. There’s also a great index and Disney telephone numbers in the back.

So, who wrote this amazing book? Authors Julie and Mike Neal have been to Walt Disney World more than 1,400 times! They visit at least once a week. Can you imagine? How did they get such a fun job? Needless to say, there’s nothing they don’t know about Disney. And The Complete Walt Disney World 2010 is the only independent Disney guide honored by the Walt Disney Company.

Our family went to Walt Disney World a few months ago and stayed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness cabins. I checked out the description of this resort in the book, and it is exactly what we experienced. I am extremely impressed with the amount of detail in this book. I’m definitely going to consult it for our next trip to Disney World! If you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World in the near future or even just dreaming about it, please get The Complete Walt Disney World 2010 before you go. You’ll be so much more prepared and knowledgeable about where you want to go and what you want to do. Just click on the link below to get a copy today!
