The Internet Mommy: An Inspirational Book for Today’s Women

If you had told me ten years ago that I would be working from home, spending most of my time on the computer and the Internet, I wouldn’t have believed you. The concepts of “Twitter” and “blog” weren’t even known to me then. And I think that is true for a lot of women. But, oh, how things can change in ten years! Now, more women than ever are combining motherhood with building businesses and relationships on the Internet.

The Internet Mommy: Inspiring Interviews and Stories from Mothers Who Work and Play Online, by Kimberley Clayton Blaine, MA, MFT, profiles a wide variety of women who are doing just that. The author, known as America’s Go-To Mom, is a licensed child and family therapist, author, video content expert, and executive producer of the show www.TheGoToMom.TV, where she bridges the gap between parenting and technology. She is also the mother of two boys! So, she knows firsthand the challenges and opportunities that are now open to mothers on the Internet.

In The Internet Mommy, Kimberley presents many essays and interviews with moms who have forged a significant presence on the Net. And I’m thrilled that Kimberley asked me to be one of the contributors! (“Who Needs Business Cards When You Have Twins?” page 25). I am really enjoying reading the stories of other women who are doing terrific things with their lives thanks to modern computer technology. They’re selling products, offering advice and consulting, building websites, and just really connecting with other moms whom they’d never have the opportunity to know if it weren’t for the Internet.

If you’ve ever dreamed of starting an Internet business, or just love to get on your computer and connect with other women, you’ll really enjoy reading The Internet Mommy: Inspiring Interviews and Stories from Mothers Who Work and Play Online. Your life will be enriched by the stories in this book, and perhaps they’ll even motivate you to bring your own ideas to life! Visit today.
