Celebrate Children's Book Week Giveaway Hop: "The Knowing Book," by Rebecca Kai Dotlich

Welcome to the Celebrate Children's Book Week Giveaway Hop hosted by Mary at Bookhounds! Every blogger participating in this hop is giving away a children's book or a gift card to purchase one. After entering my giveaway, be sure to hop around to the other participating blogs listed in the linky at the bottom of this post for the chance to win more wonderful children's books!

For my giveaway, I am offering a hardcover copy of a beautiful new children's book called The Knowing Book, by Rebecca Kai Dotlich.

What I love about this book is that it's more than a children's book. It is actually a wonderful gift for a graduate, the newly married, or anyone who is beginning a new chapter in their life. Yes, it's the story about a rabbit who sets off on a journey, but it's much more. It provides life lessons to encourage people to live to the fullest. For example, it tells us:

Open a door. Follow a trail
or a sidewalk or a sign.
Any one of them will
take you somewhere.
You will choose.

Beautifully and simply illustrated by Matthew Cordell, this book is as lovely to look at as it is to read. I hope you'll share this book with your family and then pass it along to someone who needs to hear its inspirational message.

Enter through the Rafflecopter form below. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only and ends at 11:59 PM EST on May 8, 2016.

  64. I would first share this book with our little ones. I also like the idea of giving it to those starting a new chapter in their lives. From the excerpt it seems like a reminder we could all use once in a while. Even in tough times the story isn't over and we all still can have hope for the road ahead. I love it!
