3 Tips to Create a Pure Home ~ Plus a Giveaway for New Softsoap Pure Foaming Hand Soaps

When you’ve got kids, it’s tough to keep a pure home. Merriam-Webster defines “pure” as “clean and not harmful in any way,” but with my kids I’m constantly striving to reach that ideal! The truth is, it’s probably impossible to achieve, but there are a few things you can do to help make your home more pure:

Wash, wash, wash! Whenever we come home from anywhere, my kids are sent to the sink to wash their hands. My boys love to touch everything they come into contact with, and I want to be sure that the dirt and germs go down the drain instead of in our house! Daily showers and twice-a-day teeth brushing are also a must.

Cut the clutter. I was so proud to find one of my sons cleaning out a drawer last night without any prompting from me! Like most families, we often have piles of papers and other items stacked on countertops, dressers and tables. At least once a week, I aim to clear out the piles, and I try to pick up something and put it away every time I enter a room. Keeping clutter under control is much easier if it’s done on a continuous basis.

Use “free-from” products. One of my goals for this year is to use more products that are free from artificial dyes and other ingredients that aren’t good for my family. For example, Softsoap Pure Foaming Hand Soap contains no alcohol or dyes, and its fragrance is 100% natural. We love both the Fresh and Lemongrass scents, and my children love washing with it because the foam makes it fun!

What about you? What are you doing to create a pure home for your family? Think about that as you enter the giveaway below!
