Welcome to the Jeepers! It’s January Giveaway Hop from January 4–18, hosted by The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It! Please check out my awesome sponsor and giveaway below, and then hop through the linky for the chance to win more great prizes.

My wonderful sponsor is Cook Time with Remmi. Four years ago, Remmi (now 15) and her mom created a company to help families learn how to cook and eat healthier, more nutritious foods. One of the fun products they’ve created is the Chef Club Box, a premium snack delivery subscription providing healthy snacks for families on the go. Each box contains:

• 10+ Healthy Snacks
• Kid Surprise in Each Box
• Interactive Kids and Family Activities
• Monthly Contests with Prizes
• Recipes and Healthy Lifestyle Ideas

Our family received the December Chef Club Box, and we were amazed by all of the wonderful items packed inside. Check it out!

My kids and I have had so much fun uncovering all of the wonderful snacks inside. When you subscribe, you can choose between the Chef Club Classic Box or the Chef Club Big Apple Box. You can also decide whether you want a monthly, 6-month, or 12-month subscription. The longer you subscribe, the more benefits you receive, but you can always cancel at any time. Visit http://chefclubbox.com/ to learn more and subscribe!

Remmi also has a great cookbook called Global Cooking for Kids. This book is packed with recipes from around the world. Each recipe has a short ingredient list that makes it easy for kids to create, such as Lemony Smashed Potatoes, Kiwi Fruit Salad, and Rice Pilaf. I love how Remmi explains where each recipe comes from and gives some facts and brain teasers about each country. This book features recipes from Morocco, Australia, Peru, Lebanon, Italy, Antarctica, and Puerto Rico! Purchase here.

The Chef Club Box and cookbook are just a small part of all of the wonderful initiatives that Remmi is involved with in her mission to help kids learn about nutrition and eating healthy foods. Learn more about her at CookTimeWithRemmi.com.

  126. One way we have already started to eat healthier is that I have been having our daughter cook with me. She is in a phase where if I make food it couldn't possibly be edible. However, if she is cooking along side me that all changes. She helped me make a scramble with peppers, mushrooms, onion, and turkey served over a mixed green salad with tomatoes and a side of roasted beet slices. Lets just say no left overs and no fighting over the meal. Bizarro but I will take it.

We have also been walking, doing yard work (shoveling and lugging firewood is no joke), and I have been teaching her to hoop dance. She loves it and we both get our exercise.
