VeggieTales in the House: Netflix Original Series Review & Netflix Subscription Giveaway (US/CAN) ~ Plus, Call the VeggieTales Holiday Hotline!

Netflix recently unveiled a brand-new original series for kids called VeggieTales in the House! It features all-new and exciting adventures for your favorite VeggieTales characters, while remaining true to the values-driven storytelling that has long made VeggieTales a beloved part of childhood. In each 22-minute episode of VeggieTales in the House, two separate 11-minute stories impart important life lessons, designed to please both young viewers and longtime fans of the VeggieTales brand. Every episode also includes brand-new songs and, of course, the famous closing phrase that has been at the heart of VeggieTales from the beginning: “God made you special, and He loves you very much.”

I recently watched the very first episode of VeggieTales in the House called “Puppies and Guppies,” and it was wonderful. In the show, Larry and Laura want to adopt a puppy, but first they have to learn what a big responsibility it can be to own a pet. Even though they can get a puppy for free, they find that it still costs a lot of money for a pet’s food, medical care, and other items. So, they get a job at a local store to try to raise money. The owner also allows them to care for his fish so they can see how much work is involved in caring for a pet. Unfortunately, they fail miserably at caring for the fish and earn less than they thought they’d get because they don’t do their job well. In the end, they realize that they may not be ready yet for a puppy! The story also features several very catchy songs as well as a Bible verse related to the lesson. VeggieTales in the House is a fantastic show to watch with the whole family! And at 11 minutes per story, it’s short enough to keep the interest of even the youngest fans.

Here’s a video sneak peek at the series:
