FED UP: The Film the Food Industry Doesn’t Want You to See (+ $50 Whole Foods Gift Card Giveaway) #FedUpMovie

FED UP
In Theaters May 9

As a mom, it scares me when I hear the statistic that our kids are the first generation that may have a shorter life span than their parents. When I am at my children’s school, it makes me sad to see how many children are obese. The upcoming movie, FED UP, sheds a spotlight on the reasons for this rapidly growing epidemic in our society.

About the movie:
For the past 30 years, everything we thought we knew about food and exercise is dead wrong. FED UP is the film the food industry doesn’t want you to see. From Katie Couric, Laurie David (Oscar-winning producer of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH) and director Stephanie Soechtig, FED UP will change the way you eat forever. The film opens in theaters across the country on May 9th.

It's a contributing factor, but the real culprit is the lack of proper nutritional education in our schools and the supervision of children by their parents. The kids don't have the money to spend on sugary foods, it's the parents that bring them home to placate the kids so they don't have to spend time with them or discipline them.
