Saffron Road: Delicious Ethnic-Inspired, All-Natural Frozen Foods (GIVEAWAY)

When I was sixteen years old, I stayed with a family in Japan for six weeks. During that wonderful trip, I tried a dish with curry for the very first time. Yes, I know that curry is more commonly associated with Indian food, but for some reason they were serving a lot of scrumptious beef and rice dishes flavored with curry in Japan during that period, and I fell in love with the taste. Since that time, I always look for a curry dish on the menu when I eat out!

Because of my love of curry, I was thrilled to find out about Saffron Road foods because now I can have some curry dishes at home! Saffron Road specializes in all-natural, easy-to-make frozen entrees, and many of them are flavored with my beloved curry or Asian spices. These are the three delicious entrees I tried:

Chicken Biryani
Tender chunks of chicken baked in basmati rice topped with caramelized onions in the classic Hyderabadi style

Chicken Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice
Roasted white meat chicken simmered with Tandoori spices in a robust, creamy tomato sauce

Lemongrass Basil Chicken with Basmati Rice
Roasted white meat chicken simmered in a lemongrass and basil green curry with green peppers and onions

These meals are all-natural and contain 100% vegetarian-fed and antibiotic-free chicken. They’re also Medium on the heat level, so they’re “hot” enough for those who like spicy foods, but not so hot they’re uncomfortable. They are also certified halal cuisine. Halal promotes the sacred practices of respect for the land, fair treatment for farmers, humane treatment of livestock and wholesome food to eat. Other frozen food selections from Saffron Road include: Lamb Saag, Lamb Vindaloo, Moroccan Lamb Stew, Manchurian Dumplings, Three Cheese Lasagna, Thai Basil Chili Tofu, Chana Saag, and Macaroni & Cheese! They’re available at many major retail food stores across the United States. I purchased mine at Whole Foods Market.
