RoseArt Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk: Enter This Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest with a Prize of $200, Plus a Giveaway!

My boys love drawing with sidewalk chalk. Living in Florida, we’re fortunate to have a clear driveway all year round, and it’s a great activity to get the kids outside, hone their artistic skills, and just have fun! So, when RoseArt contacted me to introduce their new Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk, we were thrilled to review it, as well as offer two terrific opportunities for YOU!

First, Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk is just what it says ~ hidden inside one of the 3D-shaped chalk pieces in each kit is a collectible toy! The kit we used looked like this:

We loved the sea life theme, with the starfish in the middle, and other chalk pieces shaped like shells and seahorses. And, sure enough, as when we used up the starfish piece, a little toy emerged. Isn’t this fish adorable?

RoseArt also challenged us to create our own chalk drawing. We wanted to create something big and bold, so we could photograph it for you, and we got inspired by looking through a book of Rangoli Indian art. Rangoli is a special colorful drawing done on the ground by the front entrance of a home to welcome visitors. It’s often created using a grid of dots, so the pictures are very geometric. We chose to free-draw rather than use dots, but still went with a geometric presentation of a butterfly! Here’s how our drawing turned out:

We were asked to show the hidden toy in our drawing, but it doesn’t show up very well in pictures because our drawing is so big, so here’s a shot of the toy on one of the butterfly’s wings.

RoseArt Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk is available in five different packs with the opportunity to find 20 possible figurines! Priced at about $3 a pack, you can find them nationwide at Target, Walmart and Kmart. A few of the other kits are shown below:

I hope you like our sidewalk art and feel inspired to create your own masterpiece with RoseArt Surprise Inside Sidewalk Chalk. If you do, you just might win a $200 Visa gift card from RoseArt! Read on for directions…

  39. I'd say a sheep also, I think they should design them so that the toys could be strung on string to wear as necklaces. I had a bunch of tiny toys in a box at my grandparents house (no idea where they got them) and I strung and restrung and restrung those things for years. HOURS of endless imagination!!!!
