It’s Time to Get Your College Degree Online at Ivy Bridge College ~ Plus Enter This Giveaway for $1,000 Off Your Tuition! (2 Winners)

It’s a new year, and you’ve probably been thinking about some of the things you’d finally like to accomplish -- or at least get started on -- in 2013. For some of us, that might mean furthering our education. Have you ever wished you had a college education, but life or finances or lack of opportunity made it seem like an impossible dream? Perhaps you got started at college, but didn’t take your studies as seriously as you should have or ran out of funds or decided to begin building a family instead. All kinds of things can derail getting a college education right after high school, but fortunately it is never too late to go back to school and get that degree. Having a college degree can lead to better opportunities in the job market, boost your self-esteem and sense of accomplishment, and set a great example for your kids.

My parents always stressed the value of a college education in our home. My dad had received his bachelor’s degree, but my mom was never able to afford to attend college after high school. Then she got married at 19, and had two children when she was 20 and 21. When my sister and I started school, my mom went to work full-time, but it was always as a secretary or assistant because she didn’t have a degree. That’s why she always encouraged my sister and me to go to college when we finished high school. We were lucky to be able to do so, but I know that not everyone has that opportunity before starting a family.

Fortunately, it’s easier than ever to pursue a degree at any age, even if you have a full-time job (inside or outside the home). Many colleges now offer online courses that make it easy for you to set your own schedule and complete your degree at your own pace. One such school is called Ivy Bridge College (IBC). Their programs for earning an associate’s degree are especially helpful for mothers. In fact, 50% of their current students are moms! What makes them so great?

  • They offer flexible and convenient class scheduling so you can fit your classes and studying into your busy life.
  • They offer weekly “success coaching,” which includes career planning, resume writing and interviewing skills.
  • They provide free tutoring if you find yourself falling behind.
  • You can earn an associate’s degree in as little as 17 months!
  • IBC tuition costs less than one-third of the cost to attend other private schools.
  • They have partnerships with more than 150 “name brand” partner schools, which allow you to seamlessly make the transfer to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
  • They have a free online private community strictly for moms who are students, so you can connect with other student moms and receive support.
In other words, 2013 is the BEST year to start working toward your college degree. If you keep making excuses about why you’re too busy (or too old or too poor) to get your degree, I encourage you to visit Ivy Bridge College’s website or contact them directly to find out how this could be a great choice for you and your family’s future!

  2. I am 31 years old, Mother of three and wife for ten years. I have been talking about going back to school for many years now and just don't ever do it. I had went to college during high school and was taking business/management and got credited and then stopped altogether because when it was time to move to campus after high school my mother didn't want me to go so I suffered. I have nothing to fall back on now and no career to pursue and find myself wondering what am I going to do for the rest of my life? I'm getting older and I have no real career. It scares me. So my husband and I have been talking about me going back to school this year. It excites me but I know its going to be expensive, with kids its hard. Thank you for the giveaway, its really one that is going to mean something to someone.
