Hearst’s New Bookazine: Holiday Food Gifts to Make! (GIVEAWAY)

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I love the “bookazines” from Hearst magazines. In these bookazines, editors from Good Housekeeping, Redbook, and Country Living share their best recipes, entertaining ideas, or crafts relating to certain themes or holidays. It’s not surprising, then, that their newest bookazine is perfect for the holidays! Holiday Food Gifts to Make! provides 157 easy recipes and fun crafts that you can make and give. Here are some recipes that caught my eye:

Chocolate-Dipped Peppermint Sticks
Nutty Cranberry Bread Mix
Coconut-Curry Popcorn Seasoning
Cinnamon Candy Canes
Citrus-Marinated Olives
Red-Currant & Habanero Pepper Jelly
Pear Cakes
Mini Gingerbreads
Golden Honey Granola

And I loved these crafts:

Seeing Stars Wreath
Woven Ribbon Ornament
Fringed Pillow
Crafty Candleholders
Minty Body Scrub
Cutting Edge Knife Block
Lovely Lunch Bag
"Embroidered" Kitchen Canisters

Most of these recipes and crafts can also be done with children. What a great way to make homemade gifts for teachers, neighbors, and friends! There are gorgeous pictures of all of the recipes and crafts so you know just what they should look like. Wrapping ideas are even included!

I hope you’ll pick up a copy of Holiday Food Gifts to Make! at your local newsstand. You can also find an electronic copy on Zinio.

  1. This year made a cute button tree for my husband's grandmother. I glued cream buttons in a tree shape on green fabric and framed it. It turned out really cute.
