Christmas Movie Review: Annie Claus Is Coming to Town

If you love fun and romantic Christmas movies, I’ve got the perfect recommendation for you: Annie Claus Is Coming to Town! I just finished watching this movie, and I can’t stop smiling. It is so cute! It’s the story of Santa’s daughter, Annie, who has reached a critical point in her life: Will she stay at the North Pole and run her father’s “business” after he retires or will she settle down with a special someone somewhere else? So, Annie takes a sabbatical by traveling to Los Angeles. She stays, of course, at the Candy Cane Hotel! And, not surprisingly, she finds her dream job in a toy store, even though the struggling owner can’t afford to pay her.

Then Annie meets the man she believes is her true love. What she doesn’t know is that Dean, a bit-part actor, was hired by Chester, her father’s operations manager, who will take over after Santa’s retirement if Annie decides not to return. Dean pretends to be a lawyer with a heart for helping orphans to win Annie’s affections. What Annie doesn’t realize, though, is that the right man for her is really the toy store owner. Along the way, Annie also befriends a single mother and her young daughter, and takes over a children’s Christmas pageant that doesn’t have a leader. Somehow, Annie manages to bring light and hope into everyone’s life, even though they don’t seem to warm up to Dean as much as Annie has. Will Annie catch on to Dean’s bad character and figure out where her heart truly belongs?

Well, I’m sure you can guess the answer to that question, but you’ll enjoy every minute of this heartwarming tale. This Hallmark Channel movie was a huge hit when it aired on TV and has earned DOVE approval as a film that’s appropriate for the whole family!
