Stay Cool and Have Fun Indoors This Summer with Calliope Games, Plus Enjoy This Discount Code and Giveaway! (US/CAN)

By now, if your kids have been home all summer, you’re probably starting to hear that familiar refrain, “We’re bored!” Or, “There’s nothing to do!” And with the temperatures being extra-hot this year, it’s even more essential to find some entertainment inside where there’s air conditioning or plenty of fans running. Yes, it’s time to pick up some new games for the kids! I found a great place to do just that: Calliope Games! At www.calliopegames,com, they have several great “tabletop games” that will keep everyone entertained indoors on a sweltering summer day. Check out these choices:

Tsuro
Create your own journey with award-winning Tsuro: The Game of the Path. Place a tile and slide your stone along the path created, but take care! Other players’ paths can lead you in the wrong direction or off the board entirely. Find your way wisely to succeed. Stay the path -- your journey begins here!
(ages 8+, 2-8 players)

Double Double Dominoes
This is a wildly fast and fun new approach to dominoes. Score points by matching dominoes on top of key spaces on the board or better yet -- play a Double Double Domino and double your score! Get ready to outrun your opponents in this simply addicting spin on the classic game.
(ages 8+, 2-4 players)

Got’Em!
Seize and capture your friends’ pawns in this delightful game with two unique ways to play! Brainy Got’Em! offers the strategic challenge of outsmarting and cornering your opponents with deliberately placed walls, while the tricky yet fun-for-all ages Bright Got’Em! has the same goal of trapping your opponents, plus colorful surprises that will keep you on your toes!
(ages 8+, 2-4 players)

Ugh!
Encounter the Stone Age life by pushing your luck against the deck and trying to lock in as many sets of cards as you can before you are abruptly shocked by a natural disaster … Ugh! Each turn, you can flip over up to three cards, all of which are good options for your set. But look out! If you’re feeling too confident, you might get hit hard with the Ugh card! Flip, take, and lock your cards wisely in this game that will have you laughing until the cool cards run out. Like life itself, it’s Paleo-riffic, until it’s Ugh!
(ages 8+, 2-6 players)

My boys have really been enjoying the Ugh! game this summer. They’re big fans of card games, and the caveman theme is just perfect for eight-year-old boys! If you’re ready to pick up some great games for the summer, read on to find out how you can get a discount at Calliope Games, plus win a game!

  27. I think the kids would really enjoy "Got Em". My teens really enjoy strategy games, as do the husband and I. Our younger children enjoy strategy as well, and the choice between 2 types of play would allow all but the youngest to participate!
