In the Spotlight: Tracy from Saving in Sumner Co

Welcome to the weekly series, “In the Spotlight,” on Susan Heim on Parenting! Each Sunday, I post a fun interview with a blogger so you can get to know her or him better. Tracy from Saving in Sumner Co is this week’s featured blogger!

What talent do you wish you had, and why?

I wish I could sing. I love to sing! Put me in a car, crank up the radio, and I will sing away. Unfortunately, I am also really bad at it. lol

What is your favorite book? What do you love about it?

Memoirs of a Geisha. I read a lot, and this is one of my favorites because of the “Love Conquers All” theme.

What is the most memorable place you’ve ever visited?

Yellowstone National Park. It’s so beautiful there.

If you were offered $5,000 to dye your hair purple for two weeks, would you do it?

Heck yeah! It’s just hair, and I can do a lot of things with $5,000. lol

What do you think is the greatest invention ever in terms of making your life easier?

I am (cough, cough) 40-something. In my lifetime, I went from only having 3 television channels as a kid to the digital age. Today, right now for me, the greatest invention is the iPhone. I can run my entire household from it ... well, almost. They haven’t invented an iPhone that will make the beds. Yet!

What are you afraid of?

Snakes!

What do you see yourself doing in ten years?

Hopefully, doing more of the same as I am today. Just older and definitely hopefully wiser.

What is the worst job you ever had?

Thankfully, I have never had a really terrible job.

Are you a night owl or an early bird?

Early bird. I love a peaceful house in the morning when everyone else is sleeping.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Through blogging, I have been lucky enough to meet some fantastic people and experience some things I never would have gotten to do otherwise. Making new friends is the best part of blogging for me.

About me:
Hi, I’m Tracy. I am married and mom to 4 active boys, from college age to elementary school. I started this blog to help myself be more accountable. By writing down coupon deals, I am staying motivated to take the necessary steps I need to stay frugal! Hopefully, I’ll take a few readers along with me. As a parent, I know how difficult it is to work, raise a family, and try to maintain a budget in today’s world. But after starting my couponing journey, I have discovered that saving money is the same as making money! Hopefully, you will find yourself enjoying the process as much as I do!! HAPPY COUPONING!
