Children’s Book Review: Zeke Meeks vs the Putrid Puppet Pals, by D.L. Green

Zeke Meeks vs the Putrid Puppet Pals is part of a new series about Zeke Meeks, a third-grader with an embarrassing sister, a fear of bugs, and an enemy in the form of a tiny girl with razor-sharp fingernails! This hilarious new series is geared toward children ages 7-10, and includes:

Zeke Meeks vs the Gruesome Girls
Zeke Meeks vs the Horrifying TV-Turnoff
Zeke Meeks vs the Stinkin’ Science Fair
Zeke Meeks vs the Putrid Puppet Pals

In addition to reading about Zeke’s funny adventures, kids will also love looking at the funny illustrations by Josh Alves. In Zeke Meeks vs the Putrid Puppet Pals, my 8-year-old boys laughed out loud at the drawing where one boy says to another, “Do you want to practice making fart noises with our underarms?” The author obviously understands boys because mine love to do that. (Ugh!)

The Zeke Meeks series just may get your reluctant reader to love books! I hope you’ll pick up a copy of Zeke Meeks vs the Putrid Puppet Pals or one of the terrific books in this series by D.L. Green.
