Adopting a Pet? Head to Your Local Shelter or Rescue Group!

Are you planning to get a new pet for Christmas? I hope you’ll consider adopting your new dog or cat from a shelter or rescue group. Each year approximately 4 million pets are adopted. However, 2.7 million healthy and treatable pets are still losing their lives in shelters each year. If you’re one of the 17 million people who will acquire a dog or cat within the next year, I hope you’ll visit The Shelter Pet Project at where you can search for a pet from a local shelter or rescue group, read adoption success stories, and get more information about pet adoption.

Here’s a really cute video about what your new pet might think about you!

Last year, we adopted our cats from a rescue organization. We just love our little furry friends and feel so good about giving them a loving and happy home. If you’re in a position where you can provide a home to a cat or dog, please visit a shelter or rescue organization. You can find more information through the links below.
