Have you ever dreamed of just getting away for the holidays? Instead of the stress of cleaning your house, cooking a big meal, and hanging the tinsel, why not trade it all in for a family vacation? One place that I always thought would be a lot of fun to visit at Christmastime is Branson, Missouri. I’ve heard a lot of really good things about it, and I hope to get there some day! Before I go anyplace, I always do some research to see what I can find for package deals. I found out recently that the Hiltons of Branson offer three holiday packages:
The Silver Dollar City Package: Set in the Ozark Mountains, Silver Dollar City sounds like a great place for history lovers like me! This 1880s-themed experience has been called one of the most “Christmasy” places in the nation. Decorated with more than 4 million lights, you can ride roller coasters, explore Marvel Cave, eat at a variety of restaurants, do some holiday shopping, and view more than 40 live entertainment shows a day, including holiday shows like “A Christmas Carol and Frosty”! The Silver Dollar City package includes two adult and two children’s tickets and rooms at Hilton hotels starting at $257.50/night.
The Santa Claus Package: With this package, two adults and two children can enjoy deluxe accommodations, along with breakfast with Santa at the Level 2 restaurant and a special gift for the children! Room rates start at $228 a night.
Deluxe Shopping Package: And if holiday shopping is your love, you can reserve the deluxe shopping package, which includes hotel accommodations, a $25 gift card to Branson Landing (a waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment district featuring over 100 specialty stores), a second $25 gift card to Tanger Outlets, and complimentary breakfast buffet for two! This sounds like a great option if you’re going to be without the kids this year.
There are two wonderful Hiltons available when you’re visiting the “entertainment capital of the Midwest”:
- The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing Hotel with stunning views on Lake Taneycomo and situated right within the Branson Landing shopping district
- The Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel, which is connected to the Branson Convention Center in the heart of Historic Downtown Branson. Adjacent to Branson Landing, it’s also the home of the Level 2 Steakhouse!
By the way, if you happen to be in the Branson, Missouri area around Thanksgiving, check out the Thanksgiving Brunch at the Level 2 Steakhouse. For $38 a person, they have a HUGE selection of foods to choose from. I saw one of my favorite items on the menu: Eggs Benedict. Yum! Or if you'd rather stay in your room so you can watch the football game on TV, arrange to get “Turkey to Go” from the Level 2 Steakhouse. They'll provide you with enough Thanksgiving food to feed a family of four!
