When I first heard of the book, Happiness Quotations: Gentle Reminders of Your Preciousness, by Erica M. Nelson, I was expecting a book of one- or two-line quotes about happiness … something along the lines of “Happiness is a warm puppy” (attributed to Linus from Peanuts, I believe!). But this book is even better. It’s actually more of a daily devotional book entirely written by the author. Each page contains several paragraphs on an aspect of happiness.
For example, Happiness Quotation 1 is “Open Up to Greatness.” And then the author expands on this theme with encouraging words, such as, “You have the capacity for great growth, great evolution.” And, “Challenge how you approach your life; look for miracles and changes and ways of being that break through to the next level of capacity.” Happiness Quotation 78 talks about how to find “Happiness in Sorrow.” And Happiness Quotation 88 explains how you can “Expect Beauty.”
Each of these Happiness Quotations is a wonderful and inspirational way to start out each day. Pick up this book first thing in the morning and read one page to set the tone for the day. Before you know it, you’ll be living out the words in Happiness Quotation 84: “Choose Happiness Today”!
P.S. When you sign up on the website, you’ll receive an original Happiness Quotation in your in-box each day!
