Provide Better Health Care for Children Through Clorox’s Check-In for Checkups Program

Did you know that one in five children in the U.S. lives in poverty, and millions of children do not have access to regular checkups and timely health care visits when they’re sick? As a result, simple childhood health problems, like ear infections and toothaches, can lead to lifelong health issues as adults.

This summer, Clorox and The Children’s Health Fund (CHF) -- a non-profit organization committed to providing health care to the nation’s most medically underserved children and their families -- are trying to improve that statistic. They are teaming up with Bethenny Frankel to help bring ongoing care to disadvantaged kids in need of regular medical care. And you can help! All you have to do is “check-in” your healthy habit.

As you know, making healthy choices like planning wholesome meals can benefit you and your family. Now, here’s an opportunity for you to make these healthy habits count times two. For every healthy act you post at www.checkinforcheckups.com, Clorox will donate 10 cents -- up to one million check-ins -- to CHF to help support their goal of providing half a million health care visits across the country.

This summer, checking-in your simple healthy habits -- like drinking more water, walking the dog, and disinfecting hard surfaces to help prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses -- will add up and go toward helping to improve access to health care for disadvantaged children across the country. I hope you’ll visit www.checkinforcheckups.com today and help out! You can also “check-in” on their Facebook page when you click here.
