This colorfully illustrated children’s book begins with a young boy listing all the ways his dad is NOT a superhero. For example, he cannot fly (and the picture shows him falling off a ladder). He does not have super strength. (Mom is shown opening the pickle jar after Dad can’t do it.) And he does not wear a cape under his regular clothes. (However, the picture shows, he has toilet paper coming out of his pants!) But, of course, the child’s dad is still SUPER and he’s a HERO because he spends a lot of time with his son catching baseballs, going to the movies, playing games, and more. Dad may not be as perfect as a superhero, but the little boy loves him nonetheless. What a great message!
