Enter the Amazing Virtual World of Wiglington and Wenks -- GIVEAWAY (3 winners!)

My teenage son has really become an expert on world history thanks to many of the history-based video games that he loves to play. Now there’s an online game designed for children between the ages of 7 and 14 that teaches them about history, geography, famous people, inventions, landmarks and much more through a thrilling virtual world. Launched in December 2009, The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World has already become a worldwide hit with users from more than 150 countries. In fact, it was nominated as one of the top 5 virtual worlds for kids by the readers of About.com.

Here are some awesome features of The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World:
  • The game is based on a series of children’s fiction written by Lord John Bittleston.
  • Wiglington and Wenks is one of the fastest-growing virtual worlds for kids, with more than 200 virtual world scenes scheduled to launch by the end of 2010.
  • This game introduces children to historical characters, such as Beethoven, Edison, Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, the Wright Brothers, Gandhi, Emperor Qin, and more.
  • Players search the world in a quest for items, learning a lot about places, people and things in the world along the way.
  • W&W appeals to kids who love adventure, travel, history, mysteries, and much more! It appeals to adults who want an educational, safe and fun game for their kids.

My first-grade boys played this game online (before their old computer died!), and really enjoyed exploring all of the virtual worlds and meeting the people in them. They’re big fans of games where they have to find hidden objects and go to places they haven’t been to before. Thus, this game was a big hit for them!
