Season Five of Curious George Is Coming on PBS Kids!

I’ve loved Curious George ever since I was a little girl. Who can resist that spunky little monkey and his friend, the man with the yellow hat? Back then, we could only enjoy Curious George through his books, but thanks to PBS Kids, today’s children can watch him on TV, too! This Labor Day, September 6, begins the fifth season of this Emmy Award-winning series.

In the premiere episode, “George and Marco Sound It Out,” George meets eight-year-old Marco, who performs with his family in a pan-Latin band. When the bandstand where they perform is taken down, George and Marco must find another place for the band to play. Along the way, George learns all about Hispanic food, music and festivities!

My children and I were able to preview this episode, along with another new episode called “A Monkey’s Duckling.” My boys love Curious George and were fascinated by these new adventures from beginning to end. Kids and parents can also visit Curious George on his own website at http://pbskids.org/curiousgeorge/. There they’ll find a lot of fun games, video clips, and printables!

I hope that you and your children will join Curious George for his new season starting on Labor Day! Click on “TV Schedule” at the website above to find out when Curious George is shown on your local PBS station.
