Help the People of Haiti by Shopping at OpenSky This Weekend

I live in South Florida, and we have a lot of Haitian people in our community. At this moment, they are devastated by the recent earthquake in Haiti, which has greatly impacted the family and friends they left behind. Many are dead and missing, and countless more will die due to lack of medical care, food and water, and shelter. It’s destruction on a scale that most of us could never even imagine. My sons’ public school is holding a food drive to send dry and canned goods to Haiti, and many other relief efforts are underway.

At OpenSky, an online community of shoppers, suppliers, and shopkeepers, they’re donating 100% of their profits from now through Sunday, January 16, 2010, to help the Haitian people. They have a wide range of products in the following categories:

Home & Garden
Books, Music & Video
Health & Beauty
Sporting Goods
Electronics
Toys, Games & Hobbies
Musical Instruments
Clothing
Baby
Shoes
Activities & Adventures
Pets
Weddings & Celebrations

I encourage you to go to http://www.theopenskyproject.com/ and make a purchase. Even a little bit of aid can make a significant difference in such a poor and ravaged country. Thanks to OpenSky for their efforts to help alleviate some of the suffering in Haiti.
