Day 4: The 12 Days Til My Birthday Giveaway

Welcome to Day 4 of my birthday giveaway! Today’s giveaway book is a two-book set!

Busy Moms’ Devotions to Go
By Lori Z. Scott

Frazzled Moms’ Devotions to Go
By Rochelle L. Valasek

About the Books:

Busy Moms’ Devotions to Go

There never seems to be enough time in the day anymore. This is especially true for mothers. Moms are so busy taking care of everyone in their lives, they never have time for themselves, let alone time for God. Busy Moms’ Devotions to Go encourages active mothers to maintain an intimate relationship with God. This book offers insights into God’s wisdom and faithfulness gleaned during practical experience in the trenches. Each of the 30 devotions offers encouragement with personal stories that mothers can relate to. Each devotion offers a closing prayer and a Take a Breath assignment that allows you to immediately apply the day’s devotion.

Frazzled Moms’ Devotions to Go

Frazzled Moms’ Devotions to Go covers all the “mommy types.” From Scripture meditations and devotions to activities to build your relationship with God, your family and friends, and the stranger in the mirror, this devotional book touches you. Frazzled Moms’ Devotions to Go addresses real issues with laughter and encouragement. It leaves you enlightened, and feeling God’s presence and peace.

Both books are part of the Devotions to Go series published by Extreme Diva Media. Devotions to Go books are pocket-sized for easy portability and offer a month of devotions on a variety of topics. Visit www.devotionstogo.com to learn more about Devotions to Go books and see the other books in the series.

  2. I make the most of nap time at our house. It usually involves hiding in my closet with a book. But my favorite unwind/decompress is to sit right here at the computer and just write it out. I try to add a humorous spin so that I can find the positive in whatever has me tweaked. And it helps to share those with other moms because usually I find out that I'm not alone in whatever insanity is now in progress.

  3. When you’re feeling frazzled and overworked, how do you find time for yourself?

Sometimes finding time means having to wake up early. I set up the coffeemaker the night before, and the spend an hour or so in the morning quietly with a cup of coffee.

What relaxes you and alleviates the stress of parenting?

Having a good book to read from the library. I wait until my daughter is asleep, and then spend some time getting lost in a good book.

  9. These look great. To destress I like to have a cup of hot tea and take a couple minutes to totally relax. Then it's back to life.

  10. I take a nice long shower; if the baby is not asleep, I put her in a safe place and take some time. I use the exersaucer mostly. That way she can't get out, she can't hurt herself, etc. She can cry in there and it could be annoying to others, but I know she's safe. And I can de-stress in the hot water.

  13. I withdraw to my Bathtub, my computer, my TV or a book. I regroup by pulling back into my self. People can be exhausting to me.

Plug in my iPod and go hit the gym.

What relaxes you and alleviates the stress of parenting?
KLOVE radio! It rocks and keeps me centered. Listening to God's messages through music makes life easier especially with 4 kiddos!
